  Dear Thomas, 


      The Maze Runner was a book filled with action and adventure centering a character named Thomas. He was new to the “Glade”. He couldn’t remember anything from his past but his name.  He get small flash backs to his past but they are really faint and hard to understand what they are flashing back to. He wanted to be a runner who goes through the maze during the day and look for a way out of the maze but he was the new guy and nobody would give him a chance. 
    I chose this song for you because never gave up on what you promised Chuck before he died. Like when in the story it said “I promised him!" he screamed, realizing even as he did so that his voice was laced with something wrong. Almost insanity. "I promised I'd save him, take him home! I promised him!” ( 358) This shows that you never gave up because you promised Chuck something and even though that he died you still wants to keep your promise to him.

    I also choose this song for you because you were smart. Like in the story it says "Are they changed because they want to go back to their old life, or is it because they're so depressed at realizing their old life was no better than what we have now?"(149) This shows that he is smart because he had just learned about “charging” and when he asked a question it made Newt, Alby and the others consider what they just whiteness  in those who have gone through it.

   Next I choose this song because you are smart. Like in the text it says “Thomas swallowed, wondering how he could ever go out there. His desire to become a Runner had taken a major blow. But he had to do it. Somehow he KNEW he had to do it. It was such an odd thing to feel, especially after what he'd just seen... Thomas knew he was a smart kid- he somehow felt it in his bones. But nothing about this place made any sense. Except for one thing. He was supposed to be a Runner. Why did he feel that so strongly? And even now, after seeing what lived in the maze?” (39)

   Next I choose this song for you because you are fearless. Like in the story it says “If you ain’t scared,” Alby said, “you ain’t human. Act any different and I’d throw you off the Cliff because it’d mean you’re a psycho.” ( 9). This shows that you are fearless because you weren`t scared of being thrown off the cliff.
